Just a few doors down at 102 High Street you can find our sister business “Le Pinardier” wine shop and bar, the perfect spot for an aperitif or after-dinner digestif. You can also enjoy live, acoustic music every Saturday evening from 8 til 10pm.
Specialising in French wines, from classics such as Bordeaux and Burgundy through to the less famous regions of Jura and the Alsace. Le Pinardier also store wines from across Europe, USA, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia. Not forgetting, local English wines from Tillingham, Nyetimber and Barnsole, to name a few.
If wine is not what you’re looking for, there’s local beers from Northdown Brewery (Margate), French and English ciders, a range of spirits and cocktails by the glass.
Peckish? Don’t worry! You can enjoy platters of French cheese, pate, terrine and rillettes (currently crab, seabass and yuzu, duck and ceps, smoked trout, and farmhouse pork!)
Le Pinardier takes it’s name from the French Naval vessels built specifically for transporting large quantities of wine in its tanks during the late half of the twentieth century. It is also widely used in France as a name for a wine merchant.
