Frog and Scot is a lively small plates restaurant and bar in the heart of the coastal town of Deal in Kent. Situated close to Deal’s charming conservation area and a stone’s throw from the beach, the Bar • Kitchen is run by its owners Benoit and Sarah, the eponymous Frog and Scot.
Frog and Scot is a fun and relaxed environment where customers can swing by for just a drink, book an intimate bistro table for dinner, dine at the bar alongside the friendly bar staff, or while away the afternoon on the heated outside terrace, watching the world pass by on Deal’s bustling High Street.`
For large parties, there is a beautiful 10 seater dining table sat in the huge on-street windows, perfect for celebrating special occasions or just getting together with friends.`
Small plates not your thing? Don’t worry! There is a few large plates on the menu too (think whole sea bass with sauce vierge and chervil, or sirloin steak with chimichurri, chips and salad).`
Dishes are prepared using ingredients that are ultra-local, seasonal and fresh, with all the meat and fish being ethically sourced from local Kent farms and fishmongers.`
Vegan, dairy free or gluten free? There are special menus just for you! `
Draught beers are currently from Tenterden’s Pig and Porter brewery, and with organic, natural, and vegan wines on tap you can enjoy a carafe of house wine while you work your way through the delicious small plates menu. Or try one of our fancier wines by the glass with our new Coravin system! There is also a fantastic selection of classic cocktails as well zero alcohol drinks to choose from.
Children and dogs welcome. Just let a member of staff know at the time of booking.
